Specifically Dominions and whatever is in that price range. What's available and who sells them? I've noticed there are both mag fed and tube fed DA Grizzlies, which is confusing as hell. I have a big ol beautiful wood stocked hunting shotgun that does everything I need it to do, now I want a novelty item and have loved mag fed shotguns ever since I knew they existed...

Canadaammo (site vendor)is the main guy to deal with when it comes to DA's.

AFAIK the grizzly's and the Valtro are the only mag fed shotguns, and the valtro is worth allot more than a grizzly.

The grizzly's come and go pretty fast, the last order (12.5" barrels) sold out a week after being in stock. Keep an eye in canadaammo's section for more info i guess.

I like the version with the 15" barrel and heat shield, I like it a lot...unfortunately I just checked and it says they're out of stock until fall. I suppose I'll have to be patient. Valtros are wicked but quite a bit out of my price range

Yeah thats what I wanted too, but when the 12.5"s were coming in there was no word of any 15"s anytime soon. So i went with the 12.5", and when the more 15's come I will just buy a barrel.

Either way, my 12.5" mag fed is fun as hell!

Faster reload, and conceptually tubes are easier to damage and then the gun is useless. I like the fact with a tube one can keep topping up.

Btw,what is the advantages of Box mag shotguns?

I think the biggest advantage for box magazine shotguns is the ability to shorten the barrel without sacrificing capacity. A 12.5" tube fed shotgun can hold a total of 4+1 rounds while a 12.5" Grizzly Mag can hold however many the magazine holds. It sucks since magazines available now can only hold 5 rounds. But if there ever was a day where 7-8 round magazines or hell, drums were made, a 12.5" with a 7+ magazine capacity would have an arguable advantage.

I’m sure that every Grizzly Mag owner are waiting for someone to make larger capacity magazines (or drums).

Myself, the big advantage is I can have 5 shells loaded in the gun in the same time it takes for a tube to load one.
General animal defence while quading, etc.

Tbh I would say a tube is stronger though. The tube is a strong piece of pipe, where as the mags are paper thin and could be wrecked by simply stepping on it.

My girlfriend wants a Grizzly mag simply for the ability to keep a loaded mag at the ready and not have to fumble with loading a tube...I suspect the mag may get in the way of a normal "pump" motion for some people, but having five rounds at the ready in the time it takes to push one into the tube is certainly interesting. I'd love to be able to find a mag-fed 20 gauge...

Admittedly not having one, I would think that the mag would be ideal for essentially all of the reasons listed above and then some. For those lesser-experienced, utilizing much of the same theoretical motor processes as one would be used to with an AR or pistol means minimal initial training compared to conventional tube-fed. Easier to load in urgent/ dark/ cold etc conditions. None of the "slug changeover" drills required, just swap out the mag to suit the purpose.

Again, admittedly not having one, nor experience with one, I have heard that they suffer from a higher risk of feeding issues than tube-fed. I'm sure someone will be able to clarify this issue?

Another option if that's the sort of thing you're looking for is getting a speed loader for a conventional tube mag...Been thinking about getting one to try on my HP9.
