Does anyone know where I can find the shim material for a cz muzzle brake? It isn't indexing to the right spot and I read somewhere about shims or washers that are used to space it out properly.
For the life of me I can't find the posts about this. Can anyone help a guy out?

What type of brake is it? Does it not have the notch for the spring-loaded plunger in the front sight base?

It doesn't need to be on tight against the FSB.

It has the notch built in to it, can't remember the make of it though. I have a thin solder loop made for it right now that tightened it up nice, but being that it is solder, it has compressed a little and now is a little bit loose. Is that any thing to worry about? I just want to eliminate any small wiggle it has so that I don't jig the threads out on the end of the barrel being that they are a fairly fine thread.

you can also use thread tape. i was able to wrap it four times. some guys machine the brake with a miill or lathe or even using a file. by machining the brake, if done properly, it will be a nice tight fit every time.

Yellow Telfon Tape made for gas fittings.
;)

get a inside and outside mesument and go to a bolt supply or fastner shop and get some shims it would look better and easy to install after you clean your gun and can be indexed perfectly and are right cheap to buy..

Finally figured it out, my brake is from Marstars, works real good too even when shooting from a rest as compared to free hand shooting.
