Faster than expected 45acp

i still say your chrony is WONKY- those velocities from the book will casue no problems with those pressure figures- the 45 acp is designed for about 17k to work right, and 19 starts to see the brass fail in the head area
 
The verdict is Chrony

Its telling me that Winchester white box 230gr fmj does 1200fps
Winchester 185gr fmj shows 1200fps
Hell, everything today was at 1200fps


It didnt seem to matter if the chrony was in the sun or shade or had the white plastic shades installed.... My F1 chrony doesnt like handgun bullets... :mad:

What's the temperature outside? The directions for my F1 Chrony say not to use it when it's freezing out. Or are you saying that other calibers in other guns measure accurately when you tried it today?

I hit an upright at about 12' lol... So when I call for a new set of uprights Ill ask the people at chrony about this.

It was 7c today... I've used it as cold as -15 with my rifles. I tried factory loads with my handloads and all measured the same. I dont get it, just glad its not my load or gun issue.

I load plated bullets for my 9mm , gun wont even cycle at cast load data , I am almost at a max load to get it to function ............

In your original post you said you were using Universal Clays not Universal. they are two completely different powders! so which is it, Universal or Universal clays?

This is made for the only 45 I own and I worked up but finally chronied it today (I went by feel and accuracy). Like I said, NO pressure issues whatsoever, I don't usually get close to max loads...
