Hello fello shooters! To everyone that has guns or should i say works of art! VERY NICE!!!
Ok so i have my Tac 21 stock now i need to make a decision on what 700 to put in it. My options are a 700P with 26" barrel and older remington trigger or i also have a 700ltr with a 20" barrel and an Xmark trigger. My shooting will be ranging from 100 to 1000 yards. Just hoping some experienced shooters could give me some insight ;)

Since there seems to be a slow down on this thread I thought I might post a pichur or two.

MDT TAC21 chassis, Rem 700 action ( blueprinted by Dennis Sorensen), Krieger .308 1/10 10 flute stainless 24" barrel, Timney 2.5# trigger, Magpul PRS stock and Ergo pistol grip. The Scope is a Sightron 10-50X60.

The shiny thing is a prototype, version 2.0 (which will be somewhat narrower) is already being worked on.

Hi Jerry,

The shiny thing is an attempt at a cross over between an F-class bipod and a tactical bipod.

The bipod adjusts in elevation via the big knob on the bottom, with the legs spreading in/out much like a Rempel or similar.

The tactical part comes from the ability to fold the legs up, either forward or backward as you like. Also you can remove it from the swivel mount in a couple of seconds.

Version 2.0 will be narrower at the top, the legs will stay the same, tho' in fact they could be any length you wanted. The current length seems to be adequate for bench or prone positions.

Weight is also much lighter than I thought it would be; don't have an exact figure yet, but I think it will be real nice on an F/TR rig.
 
I was shooting with C3PP0 on Saturday and saw the new bipod - very nice piece of kit. I am an owner when ver2.0 comes out. I offered also to take his rifle off him as it is really more 'n he can handle :)
 
This is a great looking Chassis. I missed the Chillishow this week, Anyone know where you can take a closer look at this chassis in real life locally in the GVRD?
 
Okay now I'm getting excited!!....My Remington 700 tactical showed today...My magpul stuff from Blaxsun should be here today...My 4200 elite tactical 6x24x50 scope should be here tomorrow(to be upgraded later) ...my scope mount a Burris 30mm AR-P.E.R.P from Mystic hopefully Friday...and my MTD Tac21 on Thursday...came in under budget at $2800.00 with tax...To bad I missed the pre order for the stock i could have saved a couple hundred ...Oh well. What are you guys doing with your Remington stocks? This is my first Remington and I think its a Hogue stock that came with?? Its nice anyway. ...I will post some pics later.
