Any tips or tricks on the installation of an extractor spring for a LE No3Mk1? I read an article that said push it in with a small tool until it snaps into place. Have not been able to successfully use that method. I broke the original spring and would prefer not to break the replacement. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

"...push it in with a small tool..." That'd be a slow, steady, push with a flat screw driver.

That's what I've been doing all along. My replacment is broke now too. It goes slow, steady, "snap" :(. More detail would be appciated. Do you place the blade of the screw driver in the crook of the spring? Is the extractor in place at the time? Etc.

Get some dental floss, Make a double loop, insert through the bolt head and pull the extractor spring into place. I have done this on two rifles so I know it works. ( a single loop can break)

Yes, there is an armourers tool for the purpose but for one time use, it's just not worth it.

Springs are on the way. Just to clarify the loop will go over one side of the spring and sit in the "v" where the two sides meet. The the other end of the loop goes through the hole in the back of the bolt head, and pull. Correct?
