You can swap out parts to your hearts desire my friend - and it's not all throwing money at nothing but a 22, cuz parts like stocks/grips/sights and so on are interchangeable with AR15 accessories.
And yes, there is much available in Canada, and even some excellent sites in the states that ship to Canada without any border headaches, not to mention, CDN dollar's looking pretty strong these days.
Don't be disheartened because your local gun shop doesn't carry much in the way of 10/22 / AR upgrades - the internet is your friend, and stick around at CGN, you'll have lots of internet gun buddies :cool:
