Another Walmart that carries ammo

I second that, all NS walmarts carry ammunition. Mostly just regular hunting calibers, lots of rimfire and a some shotgun. A few years back my local walmart had a great deal on 223 45gr (40 pack) but I don't see them anymore. When I started reloading 223 the price was so good that I bought a bunch of those bulk packs for the brass.

I remember those 223. When the Walmart 1st opened here the guy in charge of sporting was a handgun shooter.
We got talking one day and I told him about a Walmart I was in state side earlier in the week and all of the ammo they had. He came back with a book and it was unreal what he had access to. While he was there he would order us flats of AA and STS, 28ga shotshells you name it and excellent prices. When he moved on that was the end of it. I wonder do they still have access to a large selection of ammo just cannot be bothered to stock or order any.

I was at the new Walmart in Bowmanville the other day. It's in the far east of Bowmanvile on Hwy2 almost in Courtice so very close to Oshawa. They sell ammo if anyone is interested. Lot's of .22 333s and 555s also your common hunting calibers and shotgun. They even have trigger locks and other gun/hunting stuff.

Did the guy escort you to your car lol. They tried to tell me it was the LAW that they have to escort me and the bullets to my truck!

Duncan BC walmart has .223 20rd boxes for $9.47. I bought all 8 and said to the department manager if you had more I would of bought it all.

next day I had fun at the range

My Walmart sell's 22LR and 22 mag. Not sure about 17 tho.
I don't think I've ever seen any pistol class caliber's at any of them.

Effing IDIOTS!! My GAWD! I feel for you guys in Ontario. You told the dolt to pull his head outta his arse, right?!! May God help us all! In HARPER we TRUST!!

I asked him to see his PAL which he didn't even know what it was, then i informed him that once he stepped outside he would be illegally possessing ammunition.Needless to say he gave me my baby kill'n box of 555's and disappeared:D

LMFAO...Im gonna remember that one, next time I want to stir the pot at my local canadian tire store while being escorted to the cashier by some un licensed teenager.:slap: stupid bullet laws now.. on top of gun laws.

Also, I dont think walmart, and canadian tire are interested in handgun bullet sales cause the volume isnt there for decent profits.

This aint the states where everyone owns at least one handgun.

No decent profits,a re you kidding me? Big stores like that would sell loads of it if the price is right. The would make more off of handgun caliber than hunting. As hunting caliber are seasonal, and handguns are year round. I would but 1000 rnds every 6 weeks.

both wally worlds and both crappy tires have ammo here in lethbridge... if only they started to carry pistol calibers it woul be be great

My guess is, you're correct. They probably don't make a profit on any ammo. Its a loss leader which, because of its low margins and low volume doesn't cover the cost of the big box real estate it occupies. Do you notice the nice fishing rods and hiking boots while you're there ;) ?
