Does anyone know what issues Marstar was having worked out with their M-14's/305's?

I don't don't mean speculate as WHY they are late - but specifically what issues he was having worked out with the actual rifle?

I have asked in the marstar thread a few times, no answer.
(Not bashing anyone, just want to know what exactly I am waiting for and what issues they have had remedied with this order).
 
Are you suggesting that their are no issues being worked out with the rifle?


To quote Marstar website:

We know we are later than some other dealers in offering these BUT we had to address some production issues BUT I think you will agree the delay was well worth it....


This is not a thread to bash marstar. I just want to know what production issues have been worked out. I get it - people are mad at marstar. No need to d:h:
 
Glad to see this thread started. I'd really like to know what's going on with this coming shipment. How can people expect to have the funds available for certain if they have no idea when the rifles are coming?

This thread is of significant interest to me as well, I want to know what issues are being addressed. Are they something simple like finish quality, etc, or something more serious like hardness/metal quality... and is this something that is going to raise the next batch above the quality of what has already come in, or is it just that the first shipment of THIS batch was a load of crap, and thus sent back, leading to the delay?

I'd like to know soon too... as I mentioned in my last thread, it's getting warm, spring is in the air, and I'd like to do some :ar15: soon.

One thing is for sure... there are many layers of bovine excreta that have to be negotiated. Each layer will add more requirement for Advil consumption and create more speculated reasons for the delays. What is worth waiting for is worth waiting for. Frankly, nothing is stopping all of you patient M14 lovers from keeping your Norc, play / tinker with it all the while waiting patiently.

Everyone relax and let the universe work itself out. It's gonna unfold on it's own time.

I wanted one so I just spent a bit more and got one from another CGN sponsor. Make a few clicking sounds and buy one if you want it. I certainly will buy from Marstar but if they don't have it get it else where.

Relax.

If you read the thread, you would see that I had already tried the marstar section. I used the internet. In the thread that he responds in. I only use cell phones - and the net is free :) Not that I am required to justify WHY I posted a simple, and friendly question. I have asked in the marstar thread a few times, no answer.


I can also read regular text. No need for mega font.

1.) I don't care WHY they are late. Not the point of the thread.
2.) This isn't a BASHING thread. Not the point of the thread.
3.) I just want to to know what quality issues were being addressed.

i guess i need to repeat myself.. the message hasnt gotten through

John is a busy man.. he doesnt have time to constantly log into CGN and answer the myriad of questions .. as CGN isnt directly related the daily running of his business.

on top of that.. what you wish to know is technical information about a product sold by Marstar .. therefore if you want an answer so badly, you should be making direct contact i.e phoning Marstar, not indirect contact i.e posting in an online forum.. the fact that you use a celphone is no problem of Johns.

does Marstar have a toll free number to call ? those are toll free from cellphones as well.

i guess what im really trying to say is.. you're asking your questions to the wrong people..

so call Marstar

if you insist on trying to make contact through incorrect avenues, then you better just hurry up and wait.

EDIT: and you should also consider the possibility that your post has been read, but they have decided not to comment. remember - just because you wish to know, doesnt mean they have to tell you.
 
Here's a thought for you: Maybe you are not getting a response on your question regarding quality issues is because there are NO quality issues.

Either that or they found out the springs in the rifles were soft and needed to have them replaced.:rolleyes:

Thank you for your contribution to this thread. You are right about one thing: Something didn't get through to someone... just might not be who you think it is ;)

I am asking if anyone has any information - what I am not asking is specifically what you are offering to the thread.
 
Ya, call marstar, what makes you think that we know what happened? after all, its Marstars order, so if their would be any news, Marstar would know.

Also, if anyone here actually does know anything, don't you think it would have been posted wither in A) a new thread or B) the actual thread that Marstar started on the M-14.

if you don't want to phone, write an e-mail.
