Schmidt Rubin 1889, Why aren't they antiques?

[DOOK]

I have an 1889 sporter in 30-30, and I'm getting another in the original caliber.
Just wondering why they aren't considered antiques?
I'm sure it is an obvious answer, I can't see it though.

Two reasons:
-Bore diameter too small
-Repeater

[DOOK]

Would you mind clarifying please?
It is bolt action, not semi auto.
Bore is too small in relation to what?

Everything you need to know lies right here:

Thanks!
How wonderfully arbitrary.
Box mag kills it too.

[Brutus]

Any magaizine and below 8.3mm both kill it.

What about the 9mm Rimfire German Tip Up single shot Shotgun? Also a Flobert single shot rifle in .32 Rimfire? I am not sure where they would fit into the drawing.

You should be good to go from all angles: both as a rimfire, and as a shotgun.

That is good to know. What about the old Stevens Favorites in .25 Rimfire and .32 Rimfire then?

Made before 1898, they are fine.
