Hey

I'm having problems with my zero shifting a lot between a hot and cold barrel. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Could it be a stock fit problem? I shighted in my red dot last time at the range to be dead on at 50 yards. The next time out the first shot was 5-6" low. Shots 2-5 were dead on. Shots at 100 yards were more or less on target. Then another guy showed up at the range so we chatted and he set up his targets- my next shot with a cold barrel was at least 10" low! At 100 yards. Same ammo all the time

Anybody have the same problem and fix it?

It's a bushnell red dot and it's one of the mounts that taps into the stripper clip dovetail and then has 3-4 mount screws which I put blue locktite on

Hmmmm I had an issue with my bushnell red dot too. Better to use the irons til you can buy a high quality optic.

sounds like the stock needs a full bedding job as well. Often wandering POI in these rifles is due to insufficient stock/ferrule tension, incorrectly positioned liner, ect.
I'd try and rule out the optic first and then look at a full NM bedding job or, try it in a different stock and see if the problem is changed
