I've never seen nickel-plated .40S&W brass for sale as a component, only in factory ammo. I don't think I've ever come across nickel-plated .45ACP brass, period.

Why's nickel so important to you?

i was given a sight that had 45 acp + p nickel brass but i cant remember what it was an i want them to make some hot rounds so i can tell tem apart from the rest

I don't understand why you want nickel plated brass. Personnaly, I chuck every peice of brass that is nickel plated. Why? Because when the plating flake, they can damage your dies. Also, nickel plated brass don't last as long as non-nickel plated.

I've loaded lots of nickel-plated .38 Special brass without any difficulties. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find plated brass.

He explained why. He needs them to tell the hot rounds apart from the rest.

'cause labelling or using different containers for different loads is not an option.

I bought a bag of nickel 45acp at WSS about 5 years ago to give to a friend with a 45 brass fetish.;) He still claims all the 45 brass on the ground at the range is his though.......:p
