Nordegg alberta Shoot

Jeeze...not sure if I'm going. I think I'm on the cancellation list with Dmay. Anyways, I'm just posting here because I always enjoy razzing tigrr whenever the opportunity arrises.....:D. He knows I'm just kidding around.....:).

Well if it would make you feel better you could loan me your Timberwolf for the shoot so at least your rifle would be present.

well folks me Bullwhip and Werewolf went out to check the area out for the planned shoot , and the trip in my truck says we can hit 1300m +/-25 the snow will not last long in there , lots of open bush around . we were shooting a little bit and this area will work well for the planned shoot.

i was wondering if anyone that is attending has some stands that can be brought along? i was gonna make some steel ones but for the time involved changed my mind to just making wood ones from 2x4's (sandwich board style) and para cord to hang the gongs.

Armorman you and Dmay should really come out, after all the good shoots that have happened out in your neck of the woods.

i have a few stands and gongs steve.. i could whip up couple more if needed..
my cross bars are 1 inch
thanks.

let the guys know who are on the list. That way they can book time off or whatever.
I don't think armorman will lend his timberpup he handles it with velvet gloves!!

armorman 3 or 4 days in the life of a seed won't amount to squat. I can say that because my lively hood doesn't depend on it.

looking forward to the shoot!

Update It was hinted that I could not take her award winnig 308!! So I loaded up 300 6.5-284's.
Maybe I'll load up a couple hundred 45/70s and 300 223's that should be sufficient.

Precision shooting: anybody ever shot scotched taped paintballs on plywood?
Say out to 500 yards. I know I can't hotglue gun the suckers on, first shot and they all fall down.
I'll try it out and get back to ya.:sniper: If they don't freeze.

Should we make a list of things that are need too bring to the shoot. Gongs , Chainsaw , BBQ , Quads , . Or other stuff that is needed ?

How'd the tape work? PL Premium would work I bet. Though a more expensive option.

Well I was going to bring my quad ,trailer for a shooting position or not, about twenty gongs, chain saw ,stands for the gongs ,three rifles ,couple bottles of rum , the wife ,and a buddy, lawn chairs ,cordless screw driver, screws and nails , para cord

The paint balls have a oily texture to them. Therefore no glue will hold them.
Its been snowing and raining here for the last three days so I've just stayed inside and reloaded.
I'll bring a shooting bench, lawn chair, chainsaw, axe, 4X4 truck, mossie repelent, and a good attitude for setting up on Friday. I'll probably be there late thursday. Oh and some bacon to put on everyone elses tent so the snuggling teddy bears stay away from mine. Ha!

Well I begged and I get to take the 308 too, so I've loaded up 600 rounds for it. Lets see 600 + 400 for the 6.5-284 and 500 for the 223 and 200 for the 45/70. Now lets say a 6 hour shooting window per day @ 50 rounds per 1.5 hours = 51 hours of shooting. Hmm I might have to stay a few more days, just to use up my ammo, cause I don't want to overheat my barrels.
Just kidden I'm only bringing 3 toys and 200 rounds for each. But its cool that I have that much reloaded.
I can't wait for the three feet of snow up here to melt!!

Wow you're doing a lot better than I am. I just got back from overseas and will have my work cut out for me to get ready for the shoot. I have nothing reloaded. Not even sure if I have any brass prepped and don't have any loads developed for a few of the rifles I want to bring. I'm planning on bringing my 6.5x284, a nice old CG 63 Mauser and my Springfield M1A. Should be fun shooting iron sights!

i welded up 4 more stands...
i need to do sum reloading also ...:(

im gonna be sending out a pm to all that are coming ,
for confirmation...

23 days till I leave for there. De ti di deet, till I leave for there. I'm all ready packing.
I'm not excited or anything. 300 rounds of 45/70 now reloaded. I could shoot that all weekend.(i mean lob them out at targets) 24 feet aim point above target at 500 yards. 128 foot aim point above target at 1000 yards. Wow they leave the barrel at 1200 fps and arrive at the 1000 yard target doing 830 fps. Any 128 foot trees behind the 1000 yard target.
Pack of wolves howling right behind my place tonight. What a serenade they have going back there. I just wish they'd stop killing the farmers calves around here.

Did you get some decent sights for that guy yet Hugh?.....or ya still aiming at the treeline?
Wasn't gonna, but maybe I better bring mine too.......

I'm still aiming at the tree line Darrell. I order the sites, they have them in stock when I order them. But when it comes time to fill the order, there on backorder. Go figure.
