It's kind of funny when a poster makes a blanket statement that all DPMS barrels are crap, gets called on it, and then says "I meant for LE use, not for civilian plinking".

Dude, you made a harsh blanket statement, you have to expect folks to question it. Your last rant seems to be along the lines of "If you won't play my way, I'm taking my ball and going home".

Are we supposed to feel bad that you won't be re-visiting this thread?

Seriously, this a hobby for most of us. It's supposed to be fun. Chill out. Maybe switch to boxers instead of briefs or something.

As soon as someone points out some simple facts, a bunch of b*thurt DPMS/Oly/Norinco/etc. fanboys with high post counts jump in and start ranting their opinions in the hope that the noise will drown out the truth.

Seing as the OP already has the barrel....the only real way for you to tell how it shoots is by going out and putting rounds down range with it.

While the better quality typically comes from those manufacturers with solid reputations, there are no guarantees one barrel will shoot better than the next....but with that said, I'd never put good money down on something coming from a manufacturer with spotty quality.
