They're rocks. Someone who had camped there before us had outlined a little area, for various reasons, with rocks.
If you put out feed it can bring in flocks of mourning doves, so maybe could catch supper!
This was one of the Fed. gov. BLM camping areas. It used to be $50 and you could stay for six months. That included four camping areas in Arizona and three in California, where you could switch around to any of them for the one fee. That was my first quad I had, you will notice it parked. We could travel with the quad right from there to some mountains about ten miles away, through the mountains on some kind of trail for about eight miles, then home by a different route. A total run of 45 KMs, right from our trailer.
Arizona is a tremendous place for camping and quading. You can camp for free on any government land, which is about 85% of Arizona, for two weeks. Move 25 miles and camp for another 2 weeks, then again---. Oodles of old trails, old mines and any number of dry washes to quad on.
