62 gr FMJ best load for 223.

just have a bunch of these to load up, and figured i would see what guys are using to load these with good results. I will be using BL-C(2)

norinco 1/9 Also a mini 14, not sure what the twist is there...Older mid 80's vintage i think.

In and around the 25 gr. mark with an oal of 2.250" I think the best performance that resembled C77 that I made with BL-C2 was 25.5gr.

As always, work up as ymmv.

Hi. Current Mini's are 1 in 9 too. Ruger may have changed it due to the advent of the SS109. 62 grains was the NATO/M855 bullet weight. Isn't hard to check anyway. Patch with solvent in the jag, stick the jag just into the muzzle, mark the top of the rod at the muzzle end and at the handle end. Push the rod through the barrel for one complete turn of the handle end mark and mark the muzzle end again. Distance between the muzzle marks is the twist.
Wouldn't worry too much about a Mini though. Not accurate enough to matter.
