Looking to buy a Browning Bronze BR24F safe and was wondering if anyone has an idea who offers the best prices for these. Thanks.

how many will it really fit? It says 36 guns but looks more like a dozen rifles if that? Any ideas on the real size here?

I really like the Browning ones but the price is 60% higher then in US and way over the MSRP in the Browning catalog. With Canadian dollar being this high, it just makes not sense buying it in Canada.

I was looking at a new Stackon today-8 gun unit for $125. New in the store. Seems reasonable to me. FWIW I have never seen a safe in any of the Cambodian Tire stores here around Vancouver

There is also a place in Hamilton Ontario that builds safes there-its called Canadian Safe Manufacturing. Ive been to the factory and they are well made.

Thanks a lot - I will look into it as well. Haamiltone is 30 min from me.

Your welcome. I just noticed how many browning safes that they have. how much cheaper is it in the Usa?

Well I would say substantially... One I am looking to get can be found for 1150-1200 in US while I am getting quotes 1650-1850 in Canada. That is $500+ more expensive that after adding tax on these 500+ goes to over 600 more.

gun safe

don't know where you live but I just got back from Calgary and bought a gun safe there. Canadian tire at Macleod Trail and Southland carries a full line of gun safes from big to small cheap to expensive. They did not have the size I was looking for but prices were very good .I bought a Liberty Fatboy Jr from Wholesale Sports price was the same as listed in the states but I saved the BC tax. Buy bigger than you think as mine is listed as a 48 gun and it would be nearly impossible to get that many scoped guns in there. Hope this helpsand good luck

Thanks a lot.
I am close to Toronto and Canadian Tire here has just couple of cabinets - no safes at all.
Reason I am so interested in the Browning one is due to the door storage system that allows you to utilize the space better and store ~8 rifles with no scopes on the door.

I don't think much of their ratings. Their fire rating is not UL, so it is just their claim. Their tool rating is only "listed" whatever that means. Burglary safes are listed as T-15 which means it will withstand a tool attack for 15 minutes.
