With practice using 5 rd stripper clips you could shorten the length of time to reload by 2/3's. Plus getting rid of that ungawdly weight below the carbine.

Hes right, and pulling the trigger as fast as possible and still hit youre target is the greatest challenge with an SKS. They work even better when all hot and smokin!:D:ar15:

can you post some pics and describe the custom work??

I don't have any recent pictures and I don't have it with me atm, but ill post some this weekend.

The work done... I purchased it on the EE with the wooden for-end and pistol grip. I put a CZ858 butt stock on it. I also removed the bay lug and moved the front sight back a couple inches and covered the barrel up with the flash suppressor.

Tapco T9 stock modified with a VZ-858 stock, and AK looking grip and front parts. Screw on SKS muzzle brake. Tapco 40 rounds duckbill mag. Looks all right!

very nice I like the look alot. OP- could u show or describe the way the front wood part is connected to the stock aswell the butt stock.

The front wood is attached to the tapco stock via a screw. I also put some epoxy in between to add extra strength.

For the butt stock I cut off the section were the original tapco stock attached and drilled a hole through reaming section and put a 0.5 inch bolt through it.

oh that simple, cool. Was there any more to attaching the wood to the front or did it just slip on and was secured?
