sizing plated bullets

I saw an ad in the ee for 223 bullets. Ad says pulled ,sized and polished. How/why does one size a plated bullet? I have sized cast lead bullets but plated ????

Even Jacketed bullets can be resized in a sizing die, hand strenght for sizing couple thosands okay, for more ahydrolic swagger works best

I don't think anybody makes plated .224" component bullets; anything commercially available is jacketed. I'm not sure why you would resize jacketed bullets when they are readily available from the factory in the correct diameter.

I've taken Hornady .358 dia JSP down to .356 to make 9 x 57 Mauser. Not something you do every day but a cheap Lee swaging kit and a reasonably rugged press gets you where you need to be.

They aren't plated, they're jacketed. They are sized because they get deformed in the pulling procedure, sizing brings them back closer to being true and round.

I purchased some of these .223 pulled bullets...one thing I noticed is that they vary in length, so the seating depth varies. Has anyone had any experience with these?
