tikka rifles

t3 s/s lite .308 win i love this rifle, the rifle loves 150g hornady superperformance sst. I would love to get a second t3 in 6.5x55 laminate

Two T3's both stainless synthetic. One in 223 and the other in 30-06. They are spledidly accurate rifles and very comfortable to shoot.

They don't have the right "feel" for me, but I've shot a .300 WM T3 (synthetic stainless), and the thing was dead accurate at 100 yards. I put 3 rounds in a 1" group first time! Like I said, not for me, but you can't argue with the price and accuracy.

tikka t3 in 338 win mag,love it,shoots well with both 225's and 210ttsx,usualt touches all 3 if i do my part.would i buy another?in a minute!

Is there anyone else with a 338 win mag in a Tikka T-3 that would care to chime in? I am looking at getting one, but not sure if the recoil lug can handle the thrust.

i shoot a t3 laminate in 338. full power hand loads no problem. recoil lug still looks like new.

Thank-you.

I was just wondering, there have been rumors that with Tikkas aluminum slide in recoil lug, there maybe too much thrust on it with a 338 win mag. causing inaccuracy issues.
I have no first hand knowledge just asking if there were any members who had seen any of these problems first hand.

I got a M695 lefthand in 6,5X55 with a Meopta 3-12x50 on top!
best rifle i own! accurate and reliable, a bit heavy with that scope but i dont care because this rifle makes me look good on the range!

Pessimist........
You make that rifle look good on the range. ;)

One day I am going to own one of these T-3's.
I seem to flavor the 270wsm.
How would recoil be compared to this same rifle in a 308win?
I'm a tad recoil shy and at my age I don't care to pick up a flinch.
No April Foolz on this.
Cheers.

I had two T-3 lites, a 9.3x62 and a 338 WM, both excellent rifles.
My hunting partner, a superb machinist made up steel recoil lugs for both rifles and bedded them.
Now I'm not saying the factory lug is or was inferior, I just felt better about using both rifles as they ( 7+lbs.) had fairly substantial recoil.
As the saying goes..... An ounce of prevention...... ;)
