Just felt like Venting!!! why is 38S&W on the no go list?!?! to make matters worse they all sell for so very very cheap on the auction sites!!! Bahhh insult to injury,
btw does anyone have any idea why they sell so cheap in the states? is there just that many of them or is 38s&w just a crappy cartridge?

Handguns chambered in 44-40 are not eligible for antique status, 44-40 is specifically listed.

In the wider useage from a collector's point of view a 44-40 handgun may be an 'antique' But by virtue of calibre alone, regardless of date of manufacure, according to the CFC this is not an antique by thier definition, and would legally be considered either a restricted or prohibited firearm.
Antique 44-40 rifle is another story.......
