If you stick the magpul add on rail on top of the handguard will it be of the same height with the built in rail of the upper rec.? thanks![]()
Have to say I'm glad I spent the money on it. Looks and feels way better.

CTR's and stock M4 stock are easy to remove and install. Instead of pressing down on the lever like you would when adjusting it you pull it down and slide it off. As for the CTR you pull the little cross pin down and slide the stock on the tube.
The Magpul MOE stuff does look cool... But more than that I think it's practical. It looks great! The Magpul furniture really enhances the tacticool look. I laugh as I write this, because I'm into "practicool" functionality, but there's no denying that good furniture can look awesome.
You have a fine looking rifle.

It's light weight, strong, you can add rail only where you need it, inexpensive, and very ergo.
I actually plan to put a set on my next AR15 instead of rolling with some Daniel Defense rails which tend run over $400.

I just had a bunch of Magpul parts for my Norinco delivered.
CTR buttstock (commerical tube) went on with no problems.
I know that the MOE carbine hand guards require a lot of dremeling/patience to get on, haven't started on that.
However, can anyone else comment on whether they got a MIAD grip on without problems? I've read that people have put MOE grips on, and said they were tight...
My MIAD seemed to go on ok, but was a little tight, but the problem is in the hole for the fire select/safety spring.... they don't line up! On the receiver, it's very close to the trigger guard, but on the MIAD, the hole is back, when means when the grip is on, it crushes the spring sideways, and the fire select does not function at all.
Is this an issue of the Norc being slightly out of spec in general, or just mine? Any advice on what my options are? The MIAD doesn't have a lot of solid plastic in that area for me to just widen the hole...
Norinco tube is commercial, commercial CTR went on with no problems/fitting anything needed. There are differences between the mil-spec and comm tubes, and while it may be possible to fit one on (unknown, just speculation), it would be far easier to get the proper tube.
