RCBS makes a kit for extracting these. It basically consists of a drill, a tap, a cap screw with appropriate threads and a metal cup (hole in top) that rests on the die body through which the screw goes before threading into the drilled & tapped case. Turning the screw against the cap extracts the case. If you have suitable drill & tap, a screw and some assorted washers, these would duplicate the RCBS tool.

Get the tool, you'll need it again sooner or later.
 
Take out the expander button, put the die in a padded vise, run a 6" brass or Al rod into the hole and whack it with a plastic mallet.
Throw the One Shot away. Never had a single stuck case, in 30 some years, using a lube pad and RCBS lube.
 
Drill the primer hole out and tap with a 1/4x20 tap. you need a 1/4x20 bolt and a couple washers, put a deep socket over the base of the dies and tread the bolt into the base of the die, as you tighten the bolt it will pull the brass out of the die. Its a cheap do it yourself fix that mocks the rcbs stuck case remover you can buy.
 
put it over night in the freezer and then give it a try to pull it out. or if you have some Freon around cool it with that CAREFULLY!
 
When you finally get it out, consider a different lube (like the RCBS spray lube or one of the wax-based hand-applied types). I know a lot of people who have trouble with Hornady One Shot on non-pistol cases.
 
I have used hornady for years. Only twice have I had a case stick. Both were .223 and that was because the can ran dry and the brass did not get properly lubed.

I have had success with removing the locking nut that holds the expander. Then gently use a ballpen hammer to drive the case out of the die. Then I cut the case near the base and remove the expander.

Be gentle. You can distort the expander so that it won't fit in the locking nut. If you do then you have to use a grinder to reduce the diameter of the expander to fit back through the nut.

If the case won't come out the pour in a little oil or G96. Let it sit then try again. Be patient and you will have success.

that's what I do but I use a small lag bolt so there's no D&T involved.

Some folk just don't have the luxary of driving down the road to buy something and putting everything on hold for something of a simple fix is painful enough.
 
When I had a stuck case, Hornady send me a new zip spindle. I had mentioned that I was using the One Shot case lube, and the Hornady customer service rep I spoke with actually recommended the Unique case lube instead.

So... at least one person I spoke with, from Hornady, indicated that I should use something besides One Shot. Since I started using the Unique stuff, my reloading life has been much, much better.

Edit: They actually sent me a free tub of Unique with the zip spindle, as well.

No, not unless you want to break the ball off and ruin the rod.

As others have mentioned a 1/4" tap, a bolt and a few washers - or a socket wrench - makes a quick and easy stuck case removal tool.

As for lube try the Imperial Sizing Die Wax and you will never have to deal with another stuck case.
 
Best idea is to get yourself a stuck case puller or make one up with a bolt and washers,a 1/4 in tap ,a #7 drill bit , because I guarantee you , it won't be the last time you get a case stuck.
 
This same scenario happened to me when I first started reloading only using 308 Win and not once but twice.
I successfully removed the stuck case's with the same method suggested by Yodave, drill and tap. I threaded the die with stuck case up through the bottom of my press allowing for easy access with a socket set to back out the stuck case through the top of the press.
Be sure to use a high quality bolt ie grade 8 and if it is really stuck you could drill and tap to 5/16" which gives a bit more pulling surface.
To prevent this from happening again I took the advice of a experienced reloader which was to stop using the lube pads and simply start using Redding sizing wax applied to the case with thumb and two forefingers.
Since applying the wax by hand I have not had any more stuck cases.
