I could have sworn i saw somewhere there were 50rd 10/22 Banana :dancingbanana: Clips. They looked just like Butler Creek ones except were more bulky.

Anybody know what i'm talking about, and if so where do i get these bad boys?

Thats the one from shooters ridge, dosen't look like they make that one any more, but they do have one in 30 rounds, double stack with steel lips.

Started with Ramline. Then it went to Shooters Ridge.

Now no more...

The highest capacity RELIABLE mag that I have shot are the Promag 32rds.

Some are having really good luck with the new Promag drums which hold 50rds.

I found my Ramline 50 rounder always works well with CCI Stingers. It hasn't seen the light of day in 10 years because my rifle prefers T22's.

you must be lucky, all the posts i read about these are not favorable. Most posters have said they jam alot.
Maybe there is a newer design.

Promag or Black dog? There are 2 different ones available, I've heard nothing but bad about the Black dog, and not much either way about the promag. I've only put 100 rounds through my promag, but it's fed perfectly so far, my brother-in-law has one and it's worked well for him as well. No complaints here. I'd have more rounds through mine, but it's easier to load the 10 steel lips I have than the drum. :D

I have 1x black Promag 50 rounder. Got it w/ the Krinker Plinker a while back. Works flawlessly in my gun. I'd buy more if I could! It's even better now that I got a speed loader for it, lol

has anyone tried the "tear drop" 50rd mags for 10/22's? Would love to know what there reliability is like.

Had one and it worked okay for a while but the rubber belt deteriorated with age and it got too sticky and it no longer feeds at all.

It was a pain to load as well, had to take cover off, wind the drum back and then drop the rounds in.

I just plan to keep buying the 25 round Steel Lips magazines till I can store a half a brick in loaded magazines. :D

Did Shooters Ridge recently switch to steel lips? I bought a 30 rder last fall with green polymer lips. I havent tried it yet tho, but my old ramline 30 rder still works. Ive had that one since I was a kid, I remember breaking it in 15 rds at a time to let the spring set a little. Its stained with residue and the feed lips are badly worn but it still works. Jerry, I bought 2 32 rd. promags off you a while back and they were just as reliable as my factory 10 rder. I used a little foam tape to keep them as low in the magwell as possible so the feed lips wouldnt catch the bolt. I found myself pulling the trigger waiting for a jam or running out of ammo. The jams never came and 32 rds. goes a long ways ;) That was with cheap winchester std. vel. target stuff that jammed up every mag except the 10 rder, not one jam out of 150 rds. with the promags

Banana "Mags" my bad. I've always known them to be called this for some reason :/

Thank you for the correction.

I still call them clips sometimes lol. I think its from both movies and old catalogs like this one from Canadian Tire. Magazines are 15 shot clips, 7 shot clips, and even with clip magazine. Sears, Eatons, CT and others always called them that. The CT catalog is the one that I bought my first rifle from...the Squires M16R.
