Not sure if this is the right place but here goes.I am looking for new gear in either max4 or similar{jacket and overalls} and can't seem to find a decent price, any info or help would be great.thanks,Irish

I got mine from Walmart, in Max4. Trick with that stuff is to make sure to wash it with Sport wash, it will maintain the waterproof of the material. Catch it at the end of the deer season and they pretty much give it away.
I have 2 closets of hunting clothes, I always go for that cheap Remington stuff, it has done me very well over the years.

I picked up a set of Redhead parka and bibs from Bass Pro Shops for about $200 on sale. They likely get used about 2 dozen times a fall-winter for hunting/ice fishing/trapping and have held up fine. Theyve got me through 5 years thus far.

And I agree about the Sports Wash. It works great for getting bad smells outta clothing.

I bought a Max-4 Sweat shirt from Gander mountain on sale for 29$, I use it for fair-ish weather days. On bad day I wear a Drake EQ-wader mid season shirt two sizes too big with a sweat shirt under it.

For pants I picked up a couple of pairs of Browning twill camo pant in MO Duckblind, big enough that I can wear splash pants under them.I have had the gear for 6 years now and it works great. Also a pair of Chest waders is never a bad idea.

I have an under armor hoodie in mossy oak duck blind that I wear in early season, and I have a max-4 rain coat for those rainy warm days...and then I have a heavier jacket in duck blind for late season. As for pants, waders...

Drake makes really well designed stuff but it doesn't breathe well. I have an inexpensive whitewater outdoors (DU edition) jacket that's lasted remarkable well.

Rivers West (Eider) is by far my favorite/best performing. I have a pile of Drake gear and like the design/features, I just wish they were actually waterproof and that the zippers wouldn't fail.

Walmarts here never carry a big selection but i did get some deer gear from them.I do have a pair of waders and jacket(columbia)bought from baron sail(expensive and the deals are few and far between) so are of the specials at cabelas or basspro, gander any good or do you really get what you pay for?thanks,Irish

I get max 4d 4 in 1 parka from cabelas. Herters is the brand I think I have 2 of those n they're great. I get there bibs to. They last 2 years but I wear them thru some nasty stuff when I run my beagles for bunnies. They take a lot of abuse and for $169 new for 2 years aint to bad. Plus there warm enuf with just jeans on in the dead of winter here in southern ontario. I just throw on my custom shaded tyvek white over top of them
