Hey, newbie here, and loving the forum so far!
I just picked up a Mossberg 930 tactical and love it! I have fired 75 rounds so far and no problems.. What I would like to do tho is start to customize it. Where can I get the best deals or parts? I would like to put a collapsible stock on it and also dress it up (side holster, sights, mag tube extension and maybe anything else that catches my eye) Just make the thing look bad @$$.

Thanks w:h:

from what i understand a mag extension isnt going to be legal for you guys on a semi auto ? unless its just for show ?

this is my 930 SPX, 7+1

yeah the mag tube extension is out, it would make the gun prohib... but i suspect it is legit to keep one around if the balloon ever goes up (kidding)...

regardless:

-i believe you can get a quad railed forend for that from aimpro tactical...that is a nice start...
-perhaps a pistol grip speed-feed stock (i'm not sure but i dont think the collapsible stock will work with the semi auto)
-a 6 rd mesa tactical side saddle would be fairly cool.
-Perhaps a tactical charging handle from s&j hardware
-maybe get a rail mounted to it and put the fantastic LPA sights on the gun, i cant recommend those more...
-some kind of nasty spiked tactical choke/muzzle break type dealy
-a nice sling would be good too...

post pics of the finished product for us!

My suggestion: Take a look at the "Tactical Shotty Picture" thread... there's a lot of shotguns all done up to the nines, and you can get some great ideas. Muscles brought up some "basic" tactical stuff: Stock, side saddle, and a light are a good start, but ultimately it comes down to what you want it to look like. Everyone has their own preferences, so figure out what suits you and go with that.

And because you've got a semi-auto, as mentioned above: You've got a five-shell limit for your magazine, same as any other semi-auto, centerfire non-restricted firearm. Keep in mind length restrictions as well... there's constantly threads coming up here on the subject, so as long as you're over 18-1/2" barrel length, and 26" overall, you're good.

Still, have fun with it, build it up to suit you, and make sure to take lots of pics along the way...

As for where to get parts... S&J and TacOrd are the first two that come to mind, but if you start looking through the recent threads you'll start picking it up pretty quickly.

Shotgun is awesome.

To my knowledge the only pistol gripped stock for it though is CHOATE and I've never been able to find this stock in Canada; or anyone willing to ship it to Canada from the US.

Let us know if you find one. :)

You can get a 0ne shot extension for your 930. That would bring it up to 5rd mag capacity. +1 in chamber and 1 on the lifter if you ghost load. 7 shots isn't too bad.

Seen one all kitted out at Target sports this past weekend. $600.00 plus taxes. I,ll be happy with remington, but go take a look.

No but we make a +2 that you could block. We had these made for us customers due to how badly made the factoy one is made

what does the law say about blocking the mag on your own. does it have to be a permanent block (welded) or can it be a removable block such as the plug i put in my shotgun for hunting.

It's gotta be semi permanent.
I.E Riveted or JB welded.
Something requiring some work with a tool to remove.

Mind you as long as it can't hold more than 5 3" shells (6 2 3/4" would probably fit) than your'e good to go.
Maybe the 2 shot extension will do that?

We do now have +1 round mags with 3 position sling plate, for those that dont want to block off a +2 mag
