I have a SKS-D trigger assembly with negative engagement. Does anybody know how to remove the sear spring? It is different from the regular sks and there are no vids to show this. Any one know how to do this part??

a little more involved then a standard. you'll have to remove the rivet for the lever on the mag release. once the lever and lever spring are out of the way you can now knock out the pin like you would on a standard trigger group. now the neutered sks mag release/sear spring retainer and sear will slide out.
thanks, thats exactly what I thought. I wished there was an easier way without having to remove the mag release pin. I checked my other D, same problem. Both with negative engagement. The third D however is a little better with neutral engagement.
quick question, how is the trigger pull on your D's? (beach bum too) mine feels like its been polished and has a light but very long pull, but the mag release rivet looks factory. I'm just wondering if this is common for SKS-Ds or late commercial SKS's in general. BTW sear engagement is a little negative on mine
I have 23 detachable mag models (D, type84, M, midwest, sks-63, MC-5D, etc.) and I can not see where any trigger performance work was done to any of them.
proper engagement on them varies as it does in general on sks's here in the US.
