O/U firing a single shot

i may have a stupid question but here it goes, if you have an O/U with a single trigger thats inertia driven, if you only fire 1 shot at a time, when you open the barrel to remove the empty shell does it reset to the first barrel to be fired?

No such thing as a stupid question, except the one not asked. Don't have much experience with 'em, but it should reset whatever needs resetting.

to add to that,can s/s or o/u with 2 triggers have both rounds fired at the same time?

Yes, but I don't think they recommend that. You can jolt things lose or break it.

When I was young and stupider I had a Brazil made cheap SxS and I used to pull both triggers often. Soon the thing got so loose it would pop open after just one shot.
