I was looking through LeBarons catalogue and I find new pages for Marlin. In them, is the Marlin XT rimfire rifles. The thing that caught my eye, though, is that they looked almost exactly like the 925's, 981s and 983s. I say almost because they got that Accutrigger thing going and new stocks. I checked Marlin's website and sure enough, there they are. Anyone know more about this?

Also, check out LeBaron's description for the XT-22RZ. Suppressors. That's going to be very misguiding...

Good prices on them. If they are as accurate as the others in the Marlin line should be a good buy. I always like Marlins mag release over Savage.

Yea, that's what I'm worried about. The 925 costed around $230. The XT22 costs around $190 and has more features. How do you add more features, but keep costs down. I'm tempted to get one, but I'm waiting to see what the masses say, first. With Marlin moving factories, I have my doubts.

Coming to a Lebarons near you

I just got off the phone with Lebaron's in Markham and was told Marlin will be shipping this model the 2nd week of May.

Lebaron's is expecting to have them for sale the week after.

Finally! :dancingbanana:w:h:

Hopefully Marlin will put the new trigger on ALL of their models-triggers are the biggest complaint I have on new rifles.Theres just no comparison with the triggers on the older models-I shot an older marlin 22 magnum and the trigger was light and crisp-so if they can get that back,I'm all for it.

I had pretty much resolved NOT to buy another new rifle unless it came with a good trigger, but this news from Marlin gives me some hope that gunmakers have found a way around this rediculous ''trigger'' nonsense.Theres something wrong when we have regression instead of progression

In what has become my biweekly call to Lebarons, I was told today that the XT22's are on order with Marlin.

They have No ETA for delivery for Markham. :mad:

<RANT>
I saw a 980 for sale in the EE. I think I'm going to email for pics and buy. I'm really tired of this H:S: waiting.

It'll be a looooong time before I by anymore new Marlins I'm afraid.
</RANT>

There I feel better. Thanks. :D
