type that in in youtube- "stripping the browning automatic rifle" - see?- PICTURES AND EVERYTHING
also fm23-15 and 23-20 in google- those are the field manuals- there's a field manual for EVERY american weapon on the net

Get the 1960s versions of FM23-15 which have much more pictures than the 1940s ones. See also TM 9-1005-208-35, Direct And General Support And Depot Maintenance Manual

If it is a Converted Auto or Dewat you probably will not be able to strip it.
The OPP "directive" (not regulation) on CA's made requested them to be none strippable at one time.

TM 9-1005-208-12 is here in .pdf format. Operator's and Organizational Maintenance Manual for the 1918A2.

"...restore this rifle..." It's an LMG. Prohibited firearm. Illegal to make work. Read the laws pertaining to Dewats. No functioning of any kind is allowed.

you're jumping to a conclusion - he could be a 12( 2) and have legally acquired it- ie a registered rebuild- i've got 12(3) and i can acquire more 12(3)s if i so wish, provided i find someone that has a legitmate one to sell
