New from Alberta

To join the Equipement Exchange go to your user control panel, then on the left side click on group memberships, request to be a member of the Equipment Exchange forum, when entering a reason just type in your internet service provider, for example shaw cable. You may have to wait a little while untill someone approves you, you will just have to keep checking back, when your approved you can go into the EE and have a look at the shotgun area. Read the EE rules first.
 
I've already requested to join the Equipment Exchange. If anyone has advice to offer that would be great. This will be my first shotgun. I'll be using it for clays this summer and goose hunting this fall. I'm thinking an entry level pump will do the trick.
 
Where in Alberta are you at?

There is a gun auction going on today in RedDeer (Bud Haynes Gun Auctions.com).

You can usually pick up a Rem. 870 or similar pump 12 ga. for a couple or 3 hundred bucks there.

Hey man, welcome to the Forums. Always good to see new faces.

If your looking at starting with shotguns, look at either the Remington 870 models or Mossberg 500. They are both inexpensive pump action shotguns that come in a large varitey. I recommend starting with a pump for reasons such as price, manipulation, and durability. If you live in the Calgary area, head on over to the The Shooting Edge, or even down to Wholesale Sports down the hill.

What do you want the shotgun for? Hunting, Bears, Sport, range?

Barrhead, to bad I wasn't on here this morning, I could have gone. I'll keep an eye out for their next sale. Thanks
