There's a big difference between need and want... probably only need a couple however due to the 'want' factor, many collections have probably far exceeded the 10 limit!!

Rounded off my collection nicely last year.

Mossberg Tactical, 3-9x32 Scope AR handle mounted, cheek riser, vertical grip, BIG MAG.
Remington 597, 3-12x50 Scope, Boyds Tacticool stock, VQ Hammer.
Savage 93R17 FV, 6-18 17HMR scope, TAC PRO cheek rest.
Ruger MKIII Target, all stock, and a mag loader.

+ a few bipods to float around between em.

Wondering if I should sell them all but the ruger and get a nice .223? Hmmm....

2 bolt .17's and 3 bolt .22's. Havent started on the lever's or single's yet, Or the handgun's. I'd like to see the word need voted off the site, It creep's me out!!!!.

easy-buy another one and then you can vote...

funny-what is consistant is the aproximately 70% who own between 3 and 10 .22's

I'd LIKE to ''thin the herd''[my wife would LOVE to see me ''thin the herd''] but for some crazy reason most of the .22s I own have some reason or special meaning to me-like my first one,the CIL,its not particularly significant ,or better than the rest-but my dad bought it for me about 40 years ago. Can't sell that one-even if I don't shoot it much anymore. Can't sell the rolling block, its my favourite. The Norinco is my only .22magnum,don't know when I'll need it,but can't sell that one-I MIGHT need it someday. The Marlin 795 is my semi-and I just put a Boyds laminate thumbhole stock on it-,its very accurate even with the heavy trigger,no point selling the two Cooey's,you don't get much for them anyway-and I used to shoot gophers down in Maple Creek with one when I was a kid and so on....see-its sort of like FAMILY

2 here as well, but hopefully more soon.

Ruger 10/22 VLEH and Marlin 981T. Would like to add an SR22 and a GSG 1911 at the least.

Savage Cub (technically not mine, my grandaughters', but the oldest one is only 2, so for now, it's mine).

Cooey 75

Norinco EM-332

Savage .22 shotgun

Please - no blasphemy on these threads. There is absolutely no difference between NEED and WANT. They are both 4-letter words and contain the letter N. No sane man would WANT a gun of he didn't NEED it.

BTW, To my list of HAVE .22's, I NEED one of the Savage bolt models.

Last time I looked I had over 30 rimfires, hate to say it but that is too many for me to enjoy them but it is hard to resist a good deal on a nice rifle. If I had to buy all new my collection would be less for sure. I'll be having a rimfire sale in late summer probably to help fund another ATV.

It's easy to justify multiple 22's...

- One match rifle
- One sporting rifle
- One hunting rifle
- One plinking rifle
- One bolt action rifle
- One lever action rifle
- One pump action rifle
- One falling block action rifle
- One semi automatic rifle
- One thinkering rifle
- One loaner rifle
...

and then there's the pistols...

Last year I had 25+.Trimmed back and currently have 7:

Cooey 64b semi,my first firearm ever, purchased in the early 70's for $35, used with scope that always fogged up.
