The buyer always accepts risk when buying anything sight unseen. You can ask all the questions in the world and for all the photos possible but in the end, it is just the nature of the beast.
This guy sounds relatively decent based on his reply to you. It could be much worse...he could have just said tuff sh*t you bought it.
