I need a little help. I bought a fiberglass stock for my M14 off the EE, and I now need to find the stock insert (metal liner inside the mag well area). The stock does not have holes cut for the stock liner screws like my Norc does, so I assume there is stock liner version that doesn't need side screws? Anyone know where I can find the part I need? Thanks!

the metal insert is buried in the fiberglas , just around the wrist area; you will notice this if you ever modify one for a folding/telescopic stock

Make sure you do the test after assembly on your trigger mech , I had to remove a bit of stock material under the trigger to get mine to pass the test when I swapped mine .

Can someone tell me how what i can use to remover the stock liner screws from the norinco stock? I've tried a couple different things and i cant get proper leverage to get the screws to budge.

seriously?! goddamnit why do they have to make 'special' tools for guns, so annoying.... anyone use an 'ordinary' tool of any kind to unscrew it ,like a pair of needlenose plyers or something? i really dont want to have to order and wait for a special tool to get the job done

Never buy anything, especially "special tools" until youve looked in the shed and the wifes purse.....
Adapt and overcome.....its cheaper and ya get a good feeling out of it.
Hope it all works out for you...2 nails and a vice grip would be my choice.

grinded down needlenose is what i ended up doing, worked nicely. except the screw holes on the wood stock dont seem to be perfectly lined up with the liner, so the liner isnt sucked flush into the stock but is out like 2mm, hope that doesnt interfere with any function, i will try again today to get it right

There is a special tool for doing it.

yea, special tool alright; you know those cheap plastic trigger locks wit the 2 holes that take the funny round screwdriver- the one with the 2 " projections " sticking out of it-well, boys and girls guess what has the right spacing between the two prjuections( i'm not sure we can say t**s) - you can also use a set of needle nose pliers and grind the nose a bit- there's all kinds of "special tools" available
uh oh it looks like we can't say "tits"
