Few upgrades later...
-Scattergun Tech tritium Ghost sights.
-GG&G front sling mount.
-GG&G rear sling mount.
-Mesa Tactical Side Saddle
-Tacstar Magazine tube extension +3
-Express Stock, stippled grip.
-Vang Comp Ball safety

Still needs a railed forend if I can find a place that sells them.

I got the wrong sling mount from a US distributor, but wouldn't fix the order as they just start falling under the ITAR, so it's being used with a single point bungee.

I do shoot left handed.
The main thing is when grabbing out of the sidesaddle which would be on the opposing side from me, I have to twist my wrist in a slightly awkward way to bring the reciever up into my workplace. Also the pistol grip seems to congest my workplace.
It's not that bad and still pretty fast but I find a regular stock quicker and less awkward.
Maybe it's just a lefty thing :)

Anyway I took my Knoxx off yesterday and I'm going to try it with the old stock for a while. It sure is fun to change it up a bit, it feels like a whole new gun, as I've changed the forend and added a sidesaddle, light mount and Big dot since I put on the Knoxx four years ago.

Thanks for the answer. I couldn't believe how much my Knoxx helped my reloads and just wondered why you thought it slower.

nice gun man!

quick question though, how'd you get the sling to attatch to the fixed buttstock adapter? I see on the website theres a female end coming out of the buttstock adapter, but I'm not seeing a male end on any of the stock photo's of the vcas sling. Did you have to buy the male end seperatly?

Thanks dude.

I wondered the same thing, before the sling and adapter arrived.

It turned out to be more simple than I imagined - the fastex buckle comes attached to the sling. below it is a loop and tension buckles which loop through a steel D ring on the buttstock adapter.

Simple and effective. The D ring gives some swiveling as the shotgun is brought to the shoulder, and the fastex buckle allows the sling to be detached quickly, should it get entangled in backpack straps, for example.

A picture is worth a thousand words - heres a shot of the sling detached from the adapter.

The short story is that all you will need to purchase is the VCAS sling and the buttstock adapter - to rig it to a standard shotgun butt.

Cool thanks for the help man! I think I'll be ordering that sling+adaptor combo. It's the bfg fixed buttering adaptor right? Sweet!

I can't wait to get my shottie all done up, I have a ton of stuff on the way for it.

Come ooon Canada post!

The bottom shotty is my old school beast: Ithaca M37 - "slam fire" edition ...

I tossed in some odds and ends for scale like the Rhino 357mag and my CZ 75 bling edition ( the trigger is polished along with a #15 spring...hence DA is 6lbs SA is just under 3lbs.

things that I wanted,..pretty simple,...590 with heat shield,..mount with G2, HI Viz sight, SJ no jam follower, SJ safety, SJ side saddle, and Knoxx comstock.

side saddle and optic mount combo??? who sells these??

anyways here is my 870 work in progress: 18" barrel, choate pistol grip, 7 shell tube, needs to be refinished. Looking to add an extension clamp with sling swivel and possibly a sight. Top folding stock would be cool too.

Here is my 14" HP9. Nothing overly special but its tactical all day long.

I ordered a ATI stock but after using it I found the pistol grip to be retarded on a pump action shotgun. I can't reach the bolt release lever.
