I wonder if anyone on here is going to go?

There is a gun show at the Warplane museum, which is cool in itself since I would probably never go if it weren't. The gun show is going to be right near the main display of airplanes.

28th Military Fair, Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, Hamilton Airport,
Hamilton, ON 09:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Richard 647-709-9733). I've talked to Richard Garcia via email and he seems to think that it is going to be an excellent show.

It's on a Saturday.

I am planning on booking two tables; one is going to be a display of Vietnam era firearms with a real battle flag and a PPSH-41 in the mix. The guy that is organizing is giving the display tables away for free and I believe the sale tables are $42 or something like that.

This would be a great way to support the museum and our habit.

that aircraft took a lot of effort to keep

A lot of people donated money to save that aircraft. The museum is outstanding. and the collection includes a fully operational lancaster. only one in N.A.

The lancaster I believe came from my hometown of Goderich.
It was sitting as a display for years as we had the air base to train for lancasters just north of town. Well the youth ruined it when they gained access to it and partied and destroyed the inside of the craft. Eventually it was sent to hamilton for resto.
Flew back a few years ago!! Was quite the sight!

proof to back up my mouth lol

Only 2 Lancasters are still operational/flight worthy, Hamilton and one in Britain. There is a GREAT airshow held annually by the Russell{sic} Group. A small airport in Niagara Falls. The Lancaster has always done an impressive fly over. Spitfire,Hurricanes,Messerschmitts, even a B-29 {Memphis Bell} WW1 Bi planes just about everything you could think of is represented and operational. A Fantastic time, cheap {$20} and lots to do and see I highly recommend. There are also reenactors. Freaked me out a little the first time I went, I turned a blind corner only to be confronted with the sight of a guy in full Waffen Officers dress:eek: put me back a bit to see that uniform walking and talking....impressive none the less:D

the belle is a b-17f

One thing I found interesting was LE with Chinese markings and stamps right next to Chinese K98.

I heard that Mauser have been made in China (there was one for sale in EE in very sorry shape not that long ago) ,but LE?Now,that's new to me.

Other than that It was a Millitaria Show-not a Gun Show.Lots of books, materials for reenacting groups etc. but no firearms for sale that I have seen.

CWH is always a great place to kill time-show or not.

There were quite a few firearms for sale actually. Not as many as a hard core gun show, but a few nonetheless.

I saw the LE with the Chinese markings too. It was very interesting - I wonder how much ammo was available in China... was it perhaps captured when the British/Canadians were defeated there by the Japanese then captured by the Chinese?
