Who else is huntin and surfin this AM? Ya seein or hearing anything? I'm hearing lots of distant gobbles all around me. There was one closer but he shut up. Been hearing some hens close by too, but haven't seen anything yet.

Back in the "good old days" guys would read, pull their wire and/or have a nap on their watch. Now with the advent of wireless technology all these valuable moments hunting will be lost. So many guys will be surfing the web and not getting their naps in, how will they ever be rested enough to get their game?

Well maybe the wi-fi brings em in. As soon as I posted this two toms appeared in the distance. They're close now, I just can't get them to come close enough.

Down load some gobbles and play it to them ;)
Hunting and buggering around on the net?
Make sure your volume is up reeeeeeal high, that way when you have
the front bead on'em the phone will ring and scare them off.
This is just too cute.

Well, two hens crossed by in front of me at different times. The toms didn't come close enough and eventually buggered off into the distance and shut up. They didn't seem interested in the hens either, but gobbled their frikken heads off. Saw three or four deer in the distance too. Oh well, try again another day. Great morning to be out though.

Electronic calls are illegal in ON. And my phone was on vibrate.:p

I thought you were talking about the begining of the movie Top Secret

skeet surfin

If everybody had a twelve guage and a surfboard too oo
they'd be shootin and surfin down in Malibu uu

I'd don't think I'd hunt someone again if they were playing with their phone instead of staying focused on hunting. Luckily, where I hunt, you don't get any reception :)

I mainly use the interweb as a learning tool... when hunting alone, think of all those questions you ask yourself.. then google them

its especially useful during that 8-9 quiet time, when all the birds are henned up and "busy" for an hour or so

don't get discouraged when you have a tom answer your calls then shut up. He's likely coming in for a look and he will come in silent. The big boys arent dumb and give their position out all the time. I like to just let them know where I am and let them sneek in.

if he's with hen's, call them in and he will follow.
