50 cal

For those in the know.......is the PGW 50 available with a left hand bolt???

All the cool big 50BMG's all seem to be built for right hand folk.......short of Alberta Tactical anyone know of any left hand .50's??

Got $$$$$$ coming my way and I'd love a big boomer.

Sorry, we don't make a lefty. However, as a lefty, I'd rather shoot a right handed action for everything but sling supported shooting. Left hand stays on the grip, controlling the rifle, right hand free to cycle the bolt, or throw rounds in single shot, plus you can see into the port. Shooting backwards is bi-winning!!!

Hey, I have seen a few diffrent pictures of the PGW. But these ones show a diffrent magazine. The mag i see in this thread i think looks much nicer. I like how it hangs down out of the rifle further, looks more tactical.

Does anyone know what mag it's actually going to come with. I also herd they scratched the idea of using mcmillans mag's and built there own but are haveing a few problems with them still???

Any info would be great. I love my steyr and i love my custom bench rest 50 but i really want a mag feed tactical 50 as my bench gun weight's 50lbs and my steyr though a great gun does not have a mag and the new mag feed steyr's i think look horrible!!! just my opinion.

The LRT-3 doesn't use the McMillian mags, originally that was the intention, however designs were altered etc. We now use a single stack magazine manufactured by CADEX, and it works flawlessly, a very well made magazine indeed...

There are more pictures on this rifle sprouting up on the other thread in this section also called "50" started by rsp1761, thats our thread inregards to any information pertaining to the LRT-3, and owners opinions on it etc...

... and your right, the new Steyr mag fed is definitley an aqquired taste thats for sure ;)

So the pictures back at the beginning of this thread, thats the mag they come with? hope so, it looks way beter then he one i seen in previous pictures.

That is a great looking gun, and i really like the muzzle brake they used. It's a lot like the STEYR and the brake on the STEYR is very good at reducing recoil but it puts a little muzzle blast back on the face. This brake looks like it doesn't bring the gasses back quit as parallel to the gun as the STEYR brake so it may be a little more comfortable for the shooter?? Has anyone ever shot one of these rifles that has also shot a STEYR??

I will defiantly be investing in one of these rifles, but i think i will get them to make it with a longer barrel for me. Probably 36"

A 36" Barrel will take advanced time from Krieger, as barrels we receive are around 32" maximum for the supply we currently have available for current order(s), from the 32" we then cut & thread them for their muzzlebrakes, (and surpressors) so their standard length now is 28", We have done a 30" barrel on one I believe, but in regards to the 36" you will have to talk to Ross, he can get everything straightened out for you... :)

Ya i e-mailed Ross once before and he said it can be done, just take a little longer is all.

You benchrest fags and your long barrels:p I have a picture for you that will be posted when I get home that will definately be your next BR ### purchase. Okay now that I had my rant and it's off my chest:D I will try a longer barrel when I go to re-barrel it would be nice to get that extra velocity
:dancingbanana: and please no BR shooters take offence I am only joking
