.357 Sig

Was Mystic Precision one of the usual suspects? Jerry has had every oddball thing I've asked for so far. Starline makes it, so He should be able to get some, might have to order it, if his distributor doesn't have it in stock.

No he didn't, last I checked.

Starline has it but I need to order 10,000 pcs for them to ship to me. I assume the same would be for any distributor here in canuckistan.

I'm only looking for 2 or 300 pieces....... More if the price is reasonable.
 
Just contact Jerry again. He can order any quantity of Starline brass from his distributor. It may not be in stock though so if you are in a rush keep looking and be prepared to pay. I usually get my 10mm brass in 4-6 weeks, then again it's perpetually backordered which .357 sig does not appear to be ATM..

9x40 has a different shoulder angle than .357SiG. Both are poular in IPSC Open Division; at least out west.

You can run .40S&W brass through a .357SiG sizing die but it will be too short. Could lead to headspace problems.

Yes, .020" too short. Another thing to mention is that .357 sig brass is rated for 40,000PSI compared to .40's 35,000PSI rating.
 
I was thinking of running 40 up the die. I won't be loading up to FHL in the config, but I was thinking it would get me started..... That and I have 3 or 4 K 1xf 40 brass....

I'll drop Jerry a line, last I checked with him it was 6mo to a year wait.......
 
I reload 357 sig with the Dillon dies, and no issues using 11-12 grains of H110 powder and compensator.

Even 7.7gr WSF works not too badly.

Seat a little longer and the case length becomes irrelevant (for the most part) and use a fairly tight crimp.

I also have 500 genuine winchester 357SIG brass, but it gives me no advantage, so I genreally resize my .40 to the bullet size :)
 
Got my brass from Marstar.
I use 10 gr. Blue Dot over a Hornady 115 XTP with WSR(rifle) primers @ 1.140"

fairly stout load, neet little cartridge.

Oh, I quite understand. Since I have both resized .40's and real 357 sig brass I have looked into it a fair bit. Only on MY particular gun though, so I should have added YMMV.

Depending on the COAL, and barrel some firearms are less sensitive than others
