Been reading about .22 CCI CB Longs, really quiet they say. Thinking about trying a few without ear protection, but have a problem---can't find a place that sells them. Any ideas?

Yup, Al Simmons has them. They won't cycle a semi very well though. They are also so slow you can watch them drop at 25-50 yds

With a polished bolt and receiver these cycle in my 10/22 no problem for me. Polishing smoothed out my action immeasurably . It feels like a sewing machine after I put the tuffer buffer in.

I found mine by ordering from SFRC

I tried some in my Ruger Single Six Revolver and the guy shooting next to me laughed when the CB went off. It seemed to be pretty accurate at 25 meters though. I didn't even try it in my Buckmark as I don't think it would cycle, could be wrong..anyone try it.

i tried it in my Buckmark yesterday. Not deafening, but not silent either. much louder than a CO2 gun, but no real need for ears... didn't cycle the Buckmark, not even once.

The CB Longs aren't meant to cycle semi-automatic actions....:yingyang:...to-date :) , I've only found the Remington CeeBee's capable of cycling a semi-automatic rimfire  - and then only in a Remington 550-1 !

I'll try them in a Browning Buckmark Camper, slide is really light...maybe it will cycle, hmm

it will not cycle properly. if you are outdoors no protection necessary...but sound will be significant. they work best in rifles (not semi)
try it anyway...i use them a lot
id like to get single six again to try them...

I found about 15 rnds of these and just fired them today through my old cooey 39. I laughed when I heard them. Stealth ammo :) And you can almost count between the shot and a 30 m impact. Just as fun as any other though. Never thought to bring the single six and try them.
