I'm helping someone sell off a collection. I need to know what 12(?) they are and what a 12(?) holder would pay for them.
Please no opinions of the firearms act!!! :D Give me a sell-today price and a willing to wait price.

The family asked the OPP to keep them in thier locker, which was not a great thing. Now the police won't release them except to whomever they're transfered to. The executor is an elderly woman who didn't know what to do and wanted nothing to do with them. The brother in law who is dealing with the collection is determined to sell them and not send them to the scap-yard. But we need estimates before he can put them up for sale.

find a gun store in your area that will take them on consignment. or one of the firearms auction places. under Canadian law the executer of the will can have custody of the firearms weather the police like it or not . have them show up with a lawyer and demand the firearms.

We know if push comes to shove we can do this but are trying to avoid lawyers!
The executor is 85 yo. She doesn't need the grief.
Come on lads give me some estimates!

The Fal looks Belgian and is therefore probably registered as a 12.3.

Given the circumstances, you are looking at somewhere in the neighbourhood of $400-$500 for it. I recall seeing another Belgian FAL in decent condition that sat in the consignment section at the old SIR for months on end with an asking price of $500.

The AUG and Mac are 12.4 so your market is almost non existent. You will be very lucky to get $1000-1200 for the AUG. I have no idea what to tell you on the MAC but I suspect that $300-$500 might be the right ballpark.

seeing that your in Ontario, the easiest way to get a value is to forward those pic's to Epps. They'll give you 70% of the market value...or Target sports will sell them on consignment also... maybe email Wes (epps) or JR who owns Target Sports ...both are sponsors with their companies listed on the above banners.

Epps is best bet. Prohibs on consignment at Target Sports can sit in the case for a while. I'm sure she wants the money and the hassle done as quick as possible.

Once a prohib is "sold" to a business, it can never be resold to an individual. It leaves the system and can only go from one business to another.

I highly doubt the FN would command anything over $150 and even then it is going to be a tough sell. There are just too many of them out there and too few grandfathered owners.

I have a minty L1A1 that I got for $125 way back when this 12x stuff first started. FN's have only decreased in value since then.

The AUG and Mac could also be 12.3 guns. Most likely 12.4, but never say never.

Please, whoever is going to say, "the Mac only has SA", is incorrect. I've seen variants with those marks that have been FA as well. Not select fire, simply FA, therefore, this gun may be 12.3, or for that matter, 12.2.

I'd love to have them all but if you can't even take them to a range...meh. Funny the 12 designation is not on the cert cards.
We'll call the CFC Monday and find out.

Ya, the new certs miss a lot of vital info, including their class. They will only say, prohib, resticted or non. Then you have to find out through the Prov CFO what class exactly.

If it saves just one life, it will all be worth it.

Funny, I picked up that FN FAL from SIR from the owner some time afterwards. It actually sat there for well over 2 years:eek: It ended up costing me @ $400. Hope I can take it to the range some day.

Hey Koldt, if you want that MAC, I will put it on my business licence and you can come visit it every once in a while. ;)

I always wanted to build a can for a MAC and 9mm works better than the 45.
But this one is in 45. Ultimate in suppression, 230gr @900 fps and quiet.

I can have the ones that use to be full auto, but not the ones made semi auto only.

If it saves just one child, it will all be worth it.

The tag says 9mm. Thinking of selling them as alot. Give me prices! THEN you can try and convince the sgt to let me ship them.

It's a chicken and egg thing. It's hard for me, as a collector to give a value (what I would pay) unless I know if I can actually possess them. If I can't possess them, they are worth one million dollars, if I can buy em, they're worth $300.:D

The side of the MAC receiver looks like it says, 9mm 45 ACP????

Once the class is known, that will make a huge determination as to value, for me anyway.
