Hello, all.

I am a gunless gun-nut from Brantford, a little city about 1.5 hours south of Toronto.

I don't have any certifications and quite frankly up until this Conservative majority I had never thought of it much because it seemed a hassle with all of the regulations (especially in this province). I am interested in target shooting, but again never saw the benefit of being licensed because I would not be able to target shoot with the arms I wanted to given the regs here.

I am now considering a beginning to the RPAL process with the hopes that the Conservatives are going to work on some level to change or modify the existing laws and regulations (of course I don't ever expect to be able to own an MP series gun in this country, but one can dream).

Hello and welcome. Join the CSSA and NFA. Get your RPAL, buy guns, go shooting. Vote blue and donate.

The antis want you not to bother because of the perceived hassle. Its worth it and besides if you don't you are letting them win.
 
Fisher, you are absolutely right. I am researching what kind of hang-ups I could run into once I apply. There is a lot of convoluted information out there about the process.
