sks and Ammo purchase

Impressive group

Well I have picked out the 2 rifles I am getting first ,1 sks $195 type and 1 Mosin Nagant $135. type;0) just getting Vlad to confirm the exact cost and will be sending the Money order.
Now for the ammo,all your comments are greatly appreciated,tradeexcanada 7.62 x 39 for $225 shipped looks good,where i am in N.S. free shipping is good.Not a lot of choice down here ,unless anyone else knows of something local!?!
I will keep you posted on how the transaction turns out,and pics if I learn how to post! Cheers.

USA dealer importing those to Canada is possible but not simple. You would have to go through importation. It will cost you extra money and time. Choose one of the local Canadian dealers. We have them, Tradex has them. Importation is not an easy task.

The 7.62x39 surplus ammo has already arrived 1200 rnds for $225.+tax,shipping included.That is the cheapest around,and was delivered in 5 days,would have been 4 but yesterday was a holiday.Tradeexcanada had the pickup ordered minutes after I hung up from ordering and I could track the shipment all the way to the door.
My wife actually signed for it and didn't give me grief,,yet,,but I promised to get her a 12 guage like Sarah Palin was shooting on her show!
Rifles should be on their way soon!
 
Found out about westrifle's spring sale from this thread, thanks OP.. I regrettably sold my first SKS last year.. just sent an order for a new one.

Hey bombtrack, did you order the hardwood stock sks? I think it was the only one in the sale section,nice looking gun ,my finger was itching to order that one too!
 
personally, I would say, BUY ALL THE CORROSIVE you can! Its super fun to shoot, and I LOVE taking the SKS apart to clean it. I try to dissemble and reassemble it as fast as I can, but taking the time to clean in properly.
 
ive got the cz 527 carabine in 762x39 and since its a bolt action its about half the effort to clean after shooting and it seems to like most surplus ammo fairly well...

Yes from westrifle ;got 1 Mosin $125. shipping incl. and 1 sks $195 ,+$22 for shipping.plus taxes of course.
Just arrived 2 days ago took less than a week after they recieved the money .Good to work with .I will be opening them tomorrow and beginning the cleaning process and will provide pics to show.
Badger has some for a good price too.
I bought ammo from tradeexcanada.com 7.62x39/1200 rounds 1993 year for $225. shipping incl. just the tax extra.
I am just getting back into this game after a long time and am learning a lot from the guys here on gunnutz.
soom as I can I will get the pics up with the cosmoline still on them.

Supernova did you address this issue when you got an invoice from us. PM me your name. As for Mosin all mosins that are for 135 dollars ARE SHIPPED FREE. Combining with non promotional item like sks does not make sks shipped free. All mosins that are not 135 shooting grade are charged regular shipping rate.

Yes I sent an email once I noticed you were offering free shipping, I had just sent the money order. I got a reply saying the price was $135 shipping included. But the invoice had a shipping charge added to it that I paid before realizing shipping was free. I know there was no free shipping on the SKS that I had ordered the day before the mosin.
 
Hi, Just bought some MFS 7.62x39 non corrosive @ $9.95 per 20 box. Its really good ammo cycles well in my SKS-45. But for any type of ammo its always good to keep your weapons clean... ;)

That's a really good price,are you sure it's non-corrosive? Brass or steel case? Non corrosive commercial 7.62x39mm is around a $1 a round here!
