Taurus's new toys-ART556 and MT 40

Isn't Target Sport Centre the Taurus importer here in Canada? Maybe a phone needs to be placed to find out if these would be available to us. I like the subgun, the "different" mag well think doesn't bother me that much.

Freedom Ventures is the Taurus importer and someone has already inquired about these rifles possibly coming to Canada. They are checking on it.

Screw you guys, I want this one:

A Brazilian made FAMAE! The Chileans busted a gut when their FAMAE found their way into civilian hands up here and cut off the supply and access to parts/mags. What are the chances of Taurus being permitted to export these beauties to Canada? Would round out my Swiss Arms family nicely.

I don't mind the looks. I figure if 20 million more black rifles show up they will become commonplace and the populace will finally learn that looks do not equate with dangerousness. Price them at $500 and sell as many as you can pump out. One for everyone.

Well, the mag well is ugly. But I'm guilty of using the mag well hold style rather than a vertical fore grip so it would work for me. Still ugly though.

The fact it's a Taurus doesn't go well for it. But then again I never thought I'd buy a Kel-Tec either (RFB). So who knows.

I think I'm still going to be holding out for the Beretta ARX160 though.

Be prepared for a very long wait. Beretta has not yet produced a true semi auto only version of the ARX. They are looking at the U.S. market but it's more of a long term thing.

No worries I'm sure after 4 years in the firearms tech lab they "might" produced an FRT for it.

Or maybe not, maybe they will spend a month machining the hell out of it and get it to half assed work Full Auto and then deem it easily convertable, EH techs!?!!.

I'm not angry, who said I was angry.

Have you ever owned a Taurus product and had a problem with it? If not, stop bashing them. I've owned several over the years and possess five now. They've all given me good service.
By the way....Love Your Avatar:D

I have not owned a Taurus because I would not spend money on anything I have seen from them.

I have had a couple apart on my bench that belonged to friends of mine. I had to work on them because the alternative is trying to get Taurus to fix them, which would require Taurus to have two things:

1) customer service

2) employees with a passing familiarity with guns

When they get either of those things I will reconsider my position on Taurus.

I share your feelings about my avatar, though!
