I would like to get some feedback for the adjustable heighth AR stock adapter from Rauch. How have they been holding up? Does anyone else make one like this? The only reason I ask is I have read a few comments about these adapters in other threads.

Not the best unit out there. I have one sitting on my desk right now that was going to be used for a different project, but threw it on my 858 for a shoot back in november, and it was wobbly as hell, even after everything was torqued. I didn't bother with loc-tite because it was coming back off. It's also a pain in the ass to remove the dust cover for cleaning when in the high position.

On that note, you're better off getting the fixed NEA models, they're better built IMHO, and still in production. I don't think Rauch is in business anymore

I have it and find it fits the bill for my uses. It initially came loose after a few range and hunting trips which I wasn't thrilled about, but I put on some loc-tite and haven't had any issues since.

I would have gone with the one piece from NEA due to simplicity, but I value the ability to adjust the height for use with optics or irons while maintaining a proper check weld. Another option is to look into a cheek piece. If you plan on running a CTR, it would be to easy.

I agree in its highest position it is awkward as hell to remove the dust cover, but I honestly don't know of any practical set up requiring it to go that high. I use the 2nd from the bottom for irons and 2nd from the top for optics.

Just bought one for my other CZ.Works good for my slavic cheek bones when in its lowest position (actually wish it was a bit lower) Used blue loctite to secure the two screws and have had no issues.Used in conjuction with his rear peep sight.Wish I could find another on the EE
