I am looking at making a trading for a Ruger 44 Carbine,,,I have no idea of value it looks to be in good condition, from pictures I have recieved,,,any help would be appreciated, I mean that in general about this type of rifle not this specifc gun.
 
there are 2 autos - one with a tube mag and one with a rotary box mag and an action more like the m1 carbine. The 96 is a lever action and the 77/44 is a bolt.

400-600 for an auto, depending on which model and the condition, and the 77's seem to want more in the neighborhood of $600-700 - which is silly because it's back in production, and not exactly 'hard to find' anymore, new, at that price. No idea what a 96 is worth
 
I guess it depends where you're located then, here in Ontario they are quite popular for dogging through the bush and I have seen them listed anywhere from $500-800 for the carbine (tube fed model) and as high as $1000 for the deerfield (mag fed), and sell, quickly.
 
I paid $450 for mine (.44 Carbine, tube fed), used, a few years ago. After taking her out to the range a few times, I sold her here for the same price
 
I have a 44 carbine (tube mag) in near perfect condition (many you will see have split or cracked stocks) Not sure of the value, but you'll not get mine from me for less than 750 bucks! It is a sweet heart.The little bastards are incredibly accurate aswell!

I see them most often at shows for $400.

I got one with a beat up stock and some extra holes drilled for $180.

Then I blew up the barrel with Leading.

There are no replacement barrels available, and blown up barrels are very common, according to one collector.

Mine now has a new old stock surplus Marlin 444 barrel with a little cut off the chamber and a gas hole drilled.

I have the world's most accurate and heaviest Ruger 44 carbine.
