I seem to remember needing everything from fleece/gortex layers, to sunscreen over the three days a couple of years ago! Unfortunatly I won't be able to put my experience to use this year.

Everytime I go to the Victoria Day matches I freeze my ass off and get rained on. The years I don't go the weather is great. Bring your woolies and rain gear for sure Matt, I'll be there.

Norm forcasted better than the average weatherman. He was ONLY WRONG 61% of the time.!!!!
And I can't be a liar if I was mistaken ,you can only lie if you know the truth.
At least when I forcast yesterday's weather ,I'm correct (most of the time).
But I do recall sleeping in my Winter kit Bag in the barracks at least 2 Vic Day weekends and wearing a life jacket on the flats once.
Always an "interesting" experience.
Tom... be sure to bring your rubber dingy.
:)

Either way I would rather be shooting than at work so I will take what comes and enjoy it.
Had a pracitce yesterday, about 4 degrees 20 + wind and rain in sheets, about what I expect for the match...

Start checking the weather reports

Only another week and a half to go...

Almost close enough to start checking the weather reports

This is my first big outdoor match. What do I need to bring that I haven't already thought of?

Guaranteed ...no matter what you pack, somewhere, at sometime on the mounds ,
you'll realize you shoulda packed something else.

Plan for EVERYTHING. Sun,heat, rain, wind, snow, cold, tornadoes, hurricanes, killer bugs, killer groundhogs.....
If you're stayin in the barracks ,pack extra heavy duty earplugs in case you bunk next to Norm.
