1017 yard dead coyote

And in 5...4...3...2...1 the ethics police invasion ;)

I'm thinking that was the intent of the post...........what's that called again? The little guy under the bridge, can't think of the name at the moment.......... ;)

Nice shot. Most impressive is that he can hold the rangefinder steady enough to range a coyote at over 1000 yards, I sure as hell can't do that.

I think its fundamentally unethical that I was not invited to be there to witness that in person. For shame! :p

I don't care what the intent of the post was, I was kidding...

Thanks for the explanation though ;)

Yep Talking about hunting/shooting in the hunting forum of a gun site. what else could it be?

Maybe it's about a skill level most people could not attain.

Or maybe it's about gear required to make the shot.

Or maybe it's about the dedication, discipline and practice it takes to make the shot.

Not everyone has a 30.06 that gets shot twice a year.

nice shot that dog was :owned:

Dave, a few years ago you probably would have heard more from the ethicaly challenged, todays technoligy there is no reason these shots cant be made, hell we get 3400fps out of a 53gr 223 nowadays :p

I read an article a while back of a guy with a custom ar15 bench rig zap a prairie dog at 1200 yards ....... bet yea colt or stag arms didnt see that comming :D

well ethics are like #######s everyone has them, and thats as far as it goes, should you shoot deer with a 223, should you hunt bear with an sks, should you hunt moose with a 44 or grouse with a 50 bmg, should you pass a shot, should you take the shot, should you #### in the bush or wait till your home?

here you want to " :stirthepot2: "

im gonna take a $400 savage axis in 223 comes with a scope for that price delivered, im gonna zap a deer in the head @ 200 yards and if it dosnt fall over Ill have my robarms xcr loaded up with 53gr fragmenting varminters and blow the dam deers legs off so he cant run away! TAKE THAT! :D :D :D :D

NOW SERIOUSLY PEOPLE NEED TO GET A GRIP THIS ISNT 1931 AND A P17 30-06 ;)

Ethics? This is a coyote. It's life is already worth less than a truck load of dead rats from a tampon factory.

Now a true game animal like a moose deer or bear would be a whole different story.

truer words were never spoken.... I think I puked a little in my mouth as I pictured the dead rats at the tam..wuuhh, excuse me, the tam...whuhhh, I gotta go!:puke:

Wow I was impressed that he was using a .243. I mean it takes skill and practice with any caliber etc etc but still... 105 gr bullet? thats not a lot of bullet.

And to think I whiffed on a 'yote at 120 yards last November. Ouch.
