I know Synthetic is better, but I do like wood on my rifles. How do you guys protect wood while it is in use? I sometimes use mine extra hard ie banging around in tractor cab all day.
I was thinking of tensor bandage wrap?
Ideas?

"...know Synthetic is better..." Not necessarily.
Put your rifle in a soft case or a scabbard. A tensor bandage won't keep the rifle from getting banged up as well. If at all.

"...while on Quad/ATV..." As long as they're unloaded nobody will bother you. T'ain't legal to have loaded firearms in/on any motorised vehicle. Doubt anybody is going to come looking though.
Know a guy who used to shoot ground hogs off a combine or whatever it was, with an SMG. Boss at the gun shop told him he needed to get a hunting licence. Guy says, "What for? I use an SMG." We laughed for 10 minutes.
A leather or hard plastic ATV/horse scabbard would be the thing to use though. Handy and protected, but not in the way.

I removed the finish and put a Linspeed finish on it so it is less inclined to show scratches or dings. Scratches go away when I dip my finger in a bit of finish, wipe the scratch and rub it with a soft cloth. Makes them tough and water will not be an issue either.
