I know what this is and have had in my collection of junk for years and always get the same question whenever anyone sees it, "What is it?" and when I tell them the next question is "What's it used for?"

'K now i'm curious because of the "clasp" just behind the business end. It looks like a means of "towing" the thing either through the air or water. The older thread "what the heck is this thing" w/ radioactive stickers on it has a similar "clasp type" attachment and is stamped RCAF. Please do tell,and if you can elabourate on the clasp and how it was utilized.

That's a great guess Coyote Ugly, It would somehow have to very closely mimic the harmonics of a ships screws though. Not sure how that device would accomplish this....In any event I'm sure of one thing.....The OP is killing himself laughing
