Just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good supplier for components? I have been in contact with Bilozir.net but he doesn't respond to my emails. Wholesale and Basspro hardly have anything for shotshells.

Hi. Where you are matters.
Shotshell reloading is less expensive to get into than rifle or handgun. Epp's, Lebaron's, Shooter's Choice, et al carry components and the kits.
 
Henry at Budget Shooter Supply(at the top of the page) he's a good guy, got my slug and buck shot mold from him. located here in surrey(Oh ya where are you located?) but I think he will ship.
U can find most hulls at various ranges that are decent, Remington gunclub hull are pretty good from what I keep hearing, I got a whole wack of them the last time I was out at the trap range.
 
go to ancaster ontario and get it right from the source...hummasons...they make the lead shot their. you can buy wads , cheddite primers and kegs of gun powder for cheap...way cheaper then any store...also try lawrys
 
The money you save today on reloading shotshells is minimal, with the exception of slugs, many of us have taken to factory ammo, as an example: Cases of fed. top guns for $49.00, this decrease in the amount of reloaders does result in less components being stocked on the shelf.

I agree Ben with you on 12ga and maybe even 20ga target loads but not the rest. I am still loading 10ga steel for 11.00 a box and 16ga, 28ga , & 410 lead for around $5.00. Shotgun components have always been a pain to find.
 
I'm located in Airdrie, AB. Thanks for the replies I will check them out. I'm mostly interested in loading slugs and buckshot. I know you don't always save a lot of money reloading but it's something I enjoy doing. I already load my own rifle ammo.

I have been trying to find a source for buckshot..let me know if you find any.

Thought it was just me. Placed an order april 2nd with a two week delivery still nothing and now June 15th is the new date for arrival.:(

Try Will Bilozir who is just south of Calgary. He can give Canadian prices for Ballistic Products Inc. stuff: he doesn't have everything they have in the catalogue... but if more people ask him and deal with Will he hopefully could stock more stuff. :shotgun:

He was at the Red Deer gun show and it was nice to meet him when I made the trip. I have been buying stuff from him for myself and others primarily in the two areas of: reloading 10, 16, 28 & .410 shells cheaper and reloading for older non-steel guns.

Prices are not cheap but he has what I have looked for usually.
 
I get my stuff from Bilozir, he has by far the best stock in Alberta, I know he was away this weekend and think he has been on holidays in europe, was talking to him in late March and he made mention. He is prety much a one man show at time gets swamped.
I have found best to email in you order and phone to check if no answer in a few days.
I am told that UFA in Red Deer carries some reloading supplies and also Bashaw sports has some shotgun supplies.

I can recomend the ballistic products DGS slugs as I wacked 4 goats with the 16ga ones while back in New Zealand, worked very well.
 
Awesome thanks. I will try giving Bilozir a call this week if I don't hear back in a couple more days. Thanks to everyone else for the other places, this gives me a lot more options.

Epps has either 00 or 000 I cannot remember in 5 pound boxes if that will work for you since you are going to have to wait with me until June for Bilozir's order to come in.Take care
